Alarm Management System – Click: Control & Clarity Alarm Management System / Drücker Steuerungssysteme GmbH
Drücker Alarm Management System is a web-based solution for monitoring and controlling complex infrastructure and facility management systems – with a particular focus on alarm and status management. A user-centered operating concept has been developed that combines function and design into a clearly structured and intuitive unit. All relevant system statuses and alarms can be quickly identified and clearly prioritized, enabling a targeted response during ongoing operations. The result: a flexible, brand-compliant HMI design that makes control, efficiency, and user-friendliness visible.
Challenge and Usage
DRÜCKER develops complex automation and control systems that are used in a wide variety of industrial environments – from process engineering to building management. As part of the productization of the web-based Drücker Alarm Management System, the central challenge was to design an HMI that would meet the high requirements for flexibility, clarity, and process reliability. The new interface was to be redesigned and rethought both visually and functionally. Particular focus was placed on dashboarding and consistently aligning the styling with DRÜCKER's corporate design. The aim was to improve the user experience in a targeted manner, especially in the sensitive area of alarm and status management.
Design meets Efficiency
Special attention was paid to alarm and status handling – a central component of the Drücker Alarm Management System. Here, critical information must be reliably recognized, quickly recorded, and clearly interpreted. Clearly defined color codes, consistent visual hierarchies, and intuitive interaction patterns were used to create a user interface that both increases response speed and reduces the likelihood of errors. In addition to alarms, infographics also play a central role. They were designed to be visually dominant and functionally precise in order to make complex relationships comprehensible at a glance and to present the density of information in a clear manner.
Brand Design
In an industrial environment, it is not only functionality but also visual clarity that determines the success of an HMI. For DRÜCKER, it was therefore crucial that the new interface integrate seamlessly into the existing corporate design – technically precise and brand-compliant. The color scheme, typography, and iconography were designed to strengthen DRÜCKER's visual appearance while ensuring optimal readability and orientation in everyday use.
Special focus was also placed on the development of light and dark skins. These contribute significantly to ergonomics, especially in poorly lit working environments, such as those encountered during nighttime monitoring of facilities.
