Stage 3: Design Interface Design (UI)
In interface design, the user experience concept gives rise to a consistent, visually polished user interface. The focus here is on aesthetic aspects. Visual quality also plays a significant role in the accessibility and acceptance of a new user interface.
Styling
During the initial styling phase, a bespoke visual identity is developed. This is based on a corporate design that is consistent with the brand and adapted to the industrial context. All fundamental aspects of the bespoke design are defined at this stage: layout, grid, colours, typefaces, and the styles for icons, controls, illustrations, infographics and data visualisation.
UI Components
The UI components are then implemented. Standard controls, icons, illustrations and visualisations are developed in line with the styling guidelines to meet the required functionality and are stored in a library. Clarity and comprehensibility are the top priorities here, to ensure an optimal user experience worldwide. Where necessary, the set is supplemented with bespoke controls.
Design System
The final design system comprises the final specification, including the style guide, libraries and documentation of clear functional principles (design patterns). It forms the basis for scalable development and ensures long-term consistency.
Result
At the end of this phase, you will receive a fully designed, visually polished user interface: consistent with your corporate design, defined down to the last detail, and documented within a comprehensive design system complete with a style guide and component libraries. This provides you with a brand-compliant, scalable foundation that enables you to efficiently roll out your products and implement future developments.
