Forward Festival Hamburg 2024

In April, we attended the Forward Festival in Hamburg, an interdisciplinary design conference with workshops and talks on UX/UI, graphic design, illustration, typography, video and advertising.

The unusual setting in a former department store provided the perfect setting for interesting talks by Max Lederer, Mieke Haase, Holy Motors, Jean-Rémy von Matt and Erik Kessels, among others.

Of course, the use of artificial intelligence and how it can make the work of creative professionals easier was also an important topic here.

The most interesting presentation on the topic of UX/UI came from Anton & Irene from New York, who argued that aesthetics have a usability effect and that the value of a UI also lies in its beauty.

A highly recommended international conference for all creatives looking for new inspiration and impulses for their work. And in the wonderful city of Hamburg, which alone is always worth the trip.
